Answer: For weekend groups, check-in is typically 9:00 a.m. on the first day of your stay. Check-out is typically 4:00 p.m. on the last day of your stay. However, we ask that you please confirm with your coordinator, as variations on these times may have been arranged. We make every attempt to accommodate special requests.
Answer: The Hobby Farm craft room offers 20 individual craft tables, one 8-foot banquet table, and over 12-feet of computer workstation space. The individual craft tables are 5’3” x 2’8”. In a room with over 1,100 square feet of open space, they are configurable in any number of ways to suit the needs of your group.
Answer: Yes! The workstation is equipped with two computers, a 12” printer, a Cricut Expressions machine with a variety of cartridges, a Sizzix machine w/ die-cuts, an embossing tool, a 5” Xyron sticker maker, a 12” combo paper cutter, a variety of stamps, inks, scissors, punches and miscellaneous accessories. We also provide a variety of idea books and page templates to inspire your creativity. The craft room is also stocked with ironing boards, irons, big boards, cutting mats, and design walls for your use.
Answer: The Hobby farm has seven bedrooms, each with a unique travel-inspired theme. France can accommodate three, the Orient sleeps one (yes – privacy!), Germany sleeps two, Winter sleeps two, Italy sleeps two, Up North sleeps three, and the Beach Bum room accommodates five. Each of the 18 single beds offers fresh clean sheets, a blanket, a comforter, and one pillow. Extra pillows and blankets are available. Each bedroom offers nightstands, a clock, nightlights, and earplugs are available for those not used to sharing a room.
Answer: The weekend rental rate for the Hobby Farm is for the entire facility. You can always come with fewer guests than full capacity, but this does not change the rate. Please let us know if you are interested in joining with another smaller group, and we’ll put you in contact with another group coordinator.
Answer: The Hobby Farm does not offer meals, but we offer a fully stocked kitchen including crock pots, a griddle, and a variety of cooking and baking necessities. In addition to tableware and silverware, we offer paper supplies (napkins, paper plates, paper towels). The Hobby Farm also offers a separate kitchenette with a full fridge/freezer for your beverages and snacks. Complementary coffee and tea are provided in the Kitchenette. The House Guidebook also provides a list of recommended local restaurants.
Answer: No! We fully support your “getaway”!! No cleaning is required. Simply strip the bed you slept in, load the dishwasher, take out the trash. That’s it. We’ll clean up the rest.
Answer: The Hobby Farm is located just off Highway 65 in Stanchfield, MN, just 8 miles North of Cambridge, and 40 miles North of the Twin Cities. We send more detailed directions to group coordinators upon completion of reservation requirements. Check with your coordinator for details.
Answer: The Hobby Farm is air-conditioned for the summer months, and has in-floor heat to warm your toes in the winter months. It is smoke-free and pet-free. We do require a 2-night minimum stay on weekends, and offer priority booking for the same weekend the following year.
Answer: We require a nonrefundable deposit within 14-days of your rental request to hold your reservation. The balance of payment is due 30 days prior to your stay.
